CWTCUTIES DT - NO MAN LIKE A SNOWMAN

Hi Everyone

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and this month's theme is "No Man Like a Snowman" so we'd love to see your creations connected with that theme, as long as it's cute and Christmassy.  The team have used images from the sponsor Paper Nest Dolls and this is the card I came up with:

I coloured the image with copics and, as the image itself is so busy I didn't want to add much more to it except the snowman paper, which was a freebie with a magazine, and also the die cut fence.  I have added glitter to everywhere possible on the card which you can't really see but in real life it is very sparkly.

It would be nice if you could pop over to the challenge here and see all the lovely cards from the rest of the design team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
Ribbon Girl  - Any Image
Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Glitter N Sparkle #228 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I love to read any comments you may leave.

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE NON CARD PROJECT

Hi Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and for this fortnight the theme is to show your favourite non card project (and let us know why).

I don't do a lot of other crafting now I've found cardmaking, but I did decide last year to make more Christmas projects for the home. I love making Christmas cards so I thought I'd have a go at a few other bits.   I am in the middle of a Christmas cross stitch at the moment so I can't show that, but I have made this decoration from a mdf bauble. It's too big to hang on a tree as it's about 7" tall, but it can stand or hang on a wall.

The mdf has been covered with some First Edition paper and embellished with a frantaged Merry Christmas chipboard, a large flower, frantaged holly leaves, berries and stamens.  I have also added two tiny embossed snowflakes, pearls, lovely sparkly ribbon and a gorgeous pearl button .

The sponsor for this fortnight's challenge is

with a prize of 3 digi stamps for the winner

So, if you'd like to pop over to As You Like It you'll be able to see the lovely projects from the rest of the team.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas - D for dimension
Winter Wonderland Tribute - Anything Goes
Fab n Funky - Christmas

Thank you for visiting and I love to read any comments you may leave.

WINTER FRIENDS

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well.  I don't seem to have been blogging much lately other than DT cards so I thought I'd make a Christmas one.

Whenever I saw this Sylvia Zet image on a card it was one of those where I always thought how cute the little penguin and rabbit were so I went ahead and bought it and this is my card.

I coloured this with copics, added glitter and liquid pearls, distressed all the edges of the paper which are from two different pads and added the embellies, i.e. cheesecloth, sparkly ribbon, die cut snowflake, pearls and a punched lace trim.  The sentiment was stamped in gold metallic and is from LOTV.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

ABC Christmas - C for Creatures
Winter Wonderland Tribute - Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl - Any Image
Glitter n Sparkle #227 - Add Ribbon or Lace
Crafty Creations #335 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I appreciate any comments you leave, I love reading them.

AYLI DT - RIBBON OR LACE

Hi Everyone,

It's time for another challenge at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project using your favourite, either ribbon or lace (and don't forget to say why it's your favourite).

I have used both on my card, but I do love lace more as I think it makes a card look a bit extra special and gives it more texture.  I must admit though that there isn't always a place for lace and only ribbon will do.

This is a stamp from Saturated Canary called Crafty Cat, which I have coloured with copics and I've also added glossy accents to the glasses.  The lace is a narrow lace which I have placed back to back and put a pearl string in the centre. I have added cheesecloth under the image which is cut out with a Little Darlings Fancy Squares die, added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment tags from LOTV are stamped with silver metallic ink.  I've also stitched around all the layers on my machine, but that's not very clear on the photo, and added a few pearls here and there.

The sponsor of this challenge is
£10 voucher

So if you'd like to hop over to As You Like It you'll be able to see the lovely cards from my  team mates.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
