CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES DT - RED AND GREEN

Morning Everyone

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and this month the theme is "Red and Green" so we'd love to see your creations in those colours as long as they are cute and christmassy.

We are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps who have kindly supplied the team with images and this is my card:

I coloured the image with copics, added glossy accents to their noses and used stitched hillside borders across the middle of the card. I struggled not to put any embellishments on as this isn't my normal style, but even though I tried nothing seemed to look right so I left it as it was.

It would be nice if you could pop over to the challenge here and see what the rest of the team have come up with.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

CHNC Challenge 326 - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations 271 - Anything Goes
CHNC Challenge Extra - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I love to read your comments.

AVA BELLA

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project using your favourite colouring medium (and don't forget to let us know why).

Mine has to be Copics as these are the pens I started out with and I think I'm just beginning to get the hang of certain groups of colours I can use together, but I don't think I've had many first attempts at an image that's worked!  I always have to have a practice first.  I've tried watercolour pencils but haven't the patience or time to stick with them so Copics are my first "go to" pens.

I've had this stamp for a while and never used her so thought I would use it on a card for my younger daughter.  March and April are busy birthday months in our family but once they're over I can relax a bit and make at my leisure.  I haven't been able to make a Mother's Day card this year either - I think it's because I always take so long chosing a layout - it seems to take me longer to do that than colour up the image!

Anyway, this one is Stamping Bella Ava Loves to Celebrate cut out on a Fancy Squares die by LDRS from Noor Design. There's a Sue Wilson die in there, a Martha Stewart punch and lots of flowers and pearls.  I've also put lots of glitter glue on the hem and bodice of the dress.

So, if you'd like to pop over to As You Like It you'll be able to see the lovely projects from the rest of the team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Penny Black at Allsorts - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Fab n Funky - Flowers
The Ribbon Girl - Any Image
Paper Shelter - Birthday Girl
Inky Chicks - Flowers

Thank you for visiting and I love reading any comments you may leave.

I hope you like.

CCC Digi #69 - For the Girls
Crafty Calendar - Special Female

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE STAMP BRAND

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project using your favourite stamp brand (and don't forget to let us know why).

I think that by the amount of stamps I have mine must be Lili of the Valley.   I love cute images and they have such a variety - there's usually one for any occasion you can think of.

For my card I've used an older stamp and this is the second of the 2 baby cards I've made as mentioned in my previous post.

I have coloured him with copics, distressed the edges of the papers which are Maja Design Vintage Baby and slightly inked the edges of the image with weathered wood distress ink.  I have added cheesecloth, a heart shaped doily and a small feeding bottle all from Live and Love Crafts.  Three little flowers and a few pearls finish it off.

The sponsor for this challenge is

So, if you'd like to pop over to As You Like It you'll be able to see the lovely projects from the rest of the team.

NEW BABY

Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend and managed to do some of the things you enjoy most.

My daughter asked me if I'd make a new baby boy card for one of her friends so I've made 2 in different styles for her to chose from.  This is the first one:

I've used a pre-coloured LOTV image and added a few embellies, but I don't like to put too many on for a boy.  I think you can make girls' cards a lot prettier but I'm never sure what to put on with boys. The sentiment tags are also LOTV which I stamped in Rusty Hinge distress ink to go with the kraft card.  Black didn't seem to really go with all the brown.

I'll see you in a few days with the next baby card.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday 467 - Anything Goes
Fab n Funky - Baby
A Gem of a Challenge - At least 3 B's (Baby, button, bow, blue, brown)
The Ribbon Girl - Any Card
Polka Doodles - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and any comments you leave are appreciated.
